This is one of those rare games that is embraced equally by PC and Console folks, releasing at the same time, and solid demos I think helped this game do well initially. It's nice to see it not drop off after a few weeks on either chart.
The number of players playing L4D daily has dropped off significantly after the release of Killing Floor, by Tripwire on May 14th. We've seen Valve's first reaction to this by releasing the L4D SDK a few days after KF came out but I wonder if they have anything else planned to re energize the player base.
It's nice to see how cutting deals for the user can help the overall life and activity of a game. While DLC works really well for the Xbox 360, it'd be great to see the opportunity expand to first-time players via such whole-game sales.
Sam Houston is a data rockstar
i love the fact that this game is NEVER the same playthrough one, twice, or even the fiftieth time you play a level. always has that "scare" feeling, and hey, if you're lucky you can catch one of the 1,000 quips the characters do with one another.

great game. looking forward to L4D2 with much anticipation.
So true. This chard kinda resembles my playing time. I was playing it a lot when it came out, the less, less, less and now, i don't play at all.
Freeplay thing was like...stats blowing ^_^
Pretty interesting !
Of course. Free is always nice to try. Haha.
